First Saturday Breakfast, Reception, Social, etc. Mission: provide an opportunity for gathering and fellowship monthly after the 8:00 a.m. First Saturday Mass, as well as other receptions and social events in the Church. Policy: The Hospitality Ministers volunteer to prepare and serve first Saturday breakfast and help with other receptions or social events of the parish. Team Leader Responsibilities:
Act as liaison between the church and the ministry team.
Contact the ministry team at least two weeks prior to the first Saturday breakfast, or event.
Arrange for shopping for needed items for the breakfast or event.
Ministry Team Member responsibilities:
Assist in covering the tables and setting up the room as needed.
Place the food on platters, refilling as needed. Prepare coffee and serve juice.
Assist in cleaning up including:
Washing dishes
Dispose of table covers
Place all the trash in the trash dumpster.
Spot clean any spills
Put all meal serving items back into storage cabinets.
Procedure:
The team leader, or designee, will come to the office and pick up debit/credit card. She will then order/purchase items needed for the breakfast or event.
The team leader, or designee, will pick up items the day of the breakfast or event.
The team leader, or designee, will arrange for set up and covering of tables for the meal.
The team will gather to serve food and drinks.
Upon completion, the team will:
Distribute any leftover food.
Clean dishes and put away serving dishes in the cabinets.
Dispose of table covers and other trash, and take all trash to the dumpsters.
Return receipt(s), and debit/credit card to the business office.
