The death of a loved one can be very difficult. We are here to assist you.
1. Contact the Funeral Home
The first step is to contact the funeral home of your choice. The funeral directors will assist you in scheduling the funeral and wake service (Rosary) with the church and cemetery. Many of the funeral homes can arrange for the music for the funeral liturgy as well.
2. Planning the Funeral Liturgy
Funeral planning typically takes place during a meeting between a member of the pastoral care team and family members of the deceased. If a funeral home is involved, they can assist the family in arranging this meeting. If a funeral home is not involved, the family should contact the parish offices by calling (361) 573-5304 to schedule a meeting to make the necessary arrangements.
Loved ones are welcome to download the
Funeral Planning Sheet
to begin the planning process prior to meeting with the member of the pastoral team. No funeral planning is finalized until after this meeting.
Please note that if you are making funeral preparations well in advance then we may not be able to honor requests for specific personnel.
